Description
Rosulip 40 MG Tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of high blood cholesterol and triglycerides (fats) levels. This medicine works by blocking the production of unhealthy fats in your body and prevents the risk of heart problems and stroke (a condition that causes reduced oxygen supply to the brain).
Rosulip 40 MG Tablet has some side effects like nausea, weakness, muscle pain, stomach pain, etc. These side effects are mild and may subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if these side effects last for a long time or worsen.
Rosulip 40 MG Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take the dose as directed by your doctor. Take it regularly at the same time for the ease of remembering. A high level of fats circulating in your blood may deposit in your blood vessels and increase the risk of heart problems. Hence, Rosulip 40 MG Tablet is used to prevent the risk of a heart attack.
Prevention of stroke
Stoke is a condition that occurs due to insufficient blood supply to your brain. Deposition of unwanted fats may cause narrowing of the blood vessels carrying the blood to your brain. This may cause obstruction in blood flow and increase the risk of stroke. Hence, Rosulip 40 MG Tablet is used to reduce the incidence of stroke by reducing the cholesterol level in your blood.
When not to use?
Allergy
Avoid taking Rosulip 40 MG Tablet if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
Active liver disease
Rosulip 40 MG Tablet is broken down in your liver. Hence, this medicine is not recommended if you have pre-existing liver problems as it may lead to the accumulation of Rosulip 40 MG Tablet in your blood and increase the risk of side effects. It may also cause further liver damage.
Severe kidney impairment

Dosage
Missed Dose
