Mode of Action of Rispond 1mg
How Does It Work?
Rispond 1 mg Tablet is an antipsychotic medicine that alters the chemical messengers in the brain (dopamine and serotonin), enhancing mood, thoughts, and behaviour. It works by blocking the activity of dopaminergic D1 and serotonergic 5-HT1A receptors. This results in a reduction in dopaminergic and serotonergic neurotransmission. As a result, symptoms of schizophrenia (such as delusions and hallucinations), mania or aggression are reduced. It also keeps the symptoms from reappearing.
