Description

Repace 100 MG Tablet is a blood pressure-lowering medicine. It is used alone or in combination with other medicines for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and to help protect the kidneys from damage due to diabetes. It is also used to reduce the risk of stroke (a condition that occurs due to reduced blood supply to the brain). Repace 100 MG Tablet works by relaxing your blood vessels and lowering your blood pressure.

Repace 100 MG Tablet may cause common side effects such as fatigue, low blood pressure, cold hands and feet, headache, indigestion, diarrhoea, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen. This medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Hence avoid driving vehicles or operating machines if you feel dizzy or drowsy.

Repace 100 MG Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of this medicine in your body. High blood pressure often has no symptoms, but if left untreated, it may increase your risk of heart problems and stroke (damage to your brain resulting from reduced/blocked blood supply). Repace 100 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of hypertension.
Diabetic Nephropathy
Diabetic Nephropathy is a condition that causes damage to the kidneys due to increased blood sugar levels. This results in increased protein levels in your urine. Repace 100 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of kidney problems if you have type-II diabetes mellitus and hypertension. It helps protect your kidneys and prevent further damage.
Hypertension with left ventricular hypertrophy
Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) is the thickening of the left chamber of the heart resulting in decreased pumping efficiency. It may occur if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure. When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid taking Repace 100 MG Tablet if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
Aliskiren
Aliskiren is a medicine used to treat high blood pressure. Coadministration of Aliskiren and Repace 100 MG Tablet may increase your risk of serious side effects such as kidney problems, hypotension (low blood pressure), and hyperkalaemia (high blood potassium levels). This risk is especially higher if you have diabetes (high blood sugar levels) or pre-existing kidney problems. Hence concurrent use is not recommended if you have diabetes and/or severe kidney problems.
Severe liver disease
Repace 100 MG Tablet is not recommended for use if you have severe liver problems as it may further worsen your condition.
