Medical Description

Prazopill XL tablet contains a medicine called prazosin hydrochloride, which belongs to a group called alpha-blockers. It is used in the treatment of high blood pressure and in heart failure.

You experience sudden difficulty in breathing, rashes or swelling or face, eyelids or wheezing after taking the tablet

Mode of Action of Prazopill Xl 5 MG

How Does It Work?
Prazopill XL contains prazosin hydrochloride which works by relaxing blood vessels so that blood can pass through easily. It also relaxes blood vessels in the heart allowing the heart to pump blood efficiently. It is used in heart failure only when other medications are not working well. In prostate gland enlargement, it helps to relax muscles in the bladder so that urine can pass easily.

Directions for Use of Prazopill Xl 5 MG

Take the tablets by mouth before or after your meals with water
You may feel weakness initially after starting the therapy but if you are concerned, reach out to your doctor
Do not crush, chew or break the tablet

Interactions with other medicines
Blood pressure reducing medicines may enhance the action of Prazopill XL
Medications used to treat erectile dysfunction when given with Prazopill XL can cause very low blood pressure conditions in the body
Taking Prazopill XL with medicines used for prostate enlargement may experience dizziness or sudden low blood pressure upon standing or sitting
Taking lab tests can give results that may be affected by Prazopill XL

Storage and disposal of Prazopill Xl 5 MG

Keep it away from minors and do not use it beyond the expiry date. Store in a dry place, away from light below 30 degrees Celsius. Do not throw it away in drain. Ask the pharmacist for correct disposal methods.

Dosage of Prazopill Xl 5 MG

Overdose
If you accidentally take an extra dose, go to an emergency room or tell your doctor. Carry the tablets with you.
Missed a Dose
If you miss a dose, please take it when you remember. If its almost time for the next dose, then don’t take a double dose.
