Oxidox Capsule is used for Insomnia, Allergic reactions, Morning sickness in pregnant women, Cold, Allergic symptoms, Parkinsonism, Neurological disturbances, Mental problems, Anemia, Convulsions and other conditions. Oxidox Capsule may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Oxidox Capsule contains Doxylamine, Folic Acid and Vitamin B6 as active ingredients.
Oxidox Capsule works by blocking histamine at H1 receptors; producing antibodies and hemoglobin by keeping blood sugar level in normal range; acting on megaloblastic bone marrow to produce a normoblastic marrow;

Oxidox Capsule is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:

Side-effects

The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Oxidox Capsule. This is not a comprehensive list. These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious. Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following side-effects, especially if they do not go away.
Confusion or hallucinations
Dry mouth
Mild dizziness or drowsiness
Blurred vision
Constipation
Little or no urination
Ataxia
Urinary retention
Drowsiness
Rarely hallucinations
Seizures
Destruction of striated muscle cells
Nausea
Burning or sensation of tightness
Stomach upset
Prickling
Sleepiness
Tingling
Headache
Severe peripheral neuropathies

Bitter or bad taste

Decreased vitamin b12 serum levels
Seizures in epileptic patients receiving phenobarbital, primidone, or diphenylhydantoin
Decreased diphenylhydantoin serum levels in folate-deficient patients

Precautions

Before using Oxidox Capsule, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below.
Administration of folic acid alone is improper therapy for pernicious anemia and other megaloblastic anemias in which vitamin B12 is deficient
Asthma
Avoid alcohol consumption, especially if having alcoholic cirrhosis
Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if you experience dizziness fromt his medication
Be careful while exercising or in hot weather
Blocking of airflow to the lungs
Children less than 6 years of age
Chronic lung diseases
Do not take alcohol
Do not try strenuous exercise in hot weather

Interactions with Oxidox Capsule

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Oxidox Capsule may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Oxidox Capsule may interact with the following drugs and products:
Acetaminophen
Adderall
Alcohol
Alprazolam
Amiodarone
Ascorbic acid
Aspirin
Barbiturates
Cetirizine
Cholecalciferol

When not to use Oxidox Capsule

Hypersensitivity to Oxidox Capsule is a contraindication. In addition, Oxidox Capsule should not be used if you have the following conditions:
Allergic reactions
Enlarged prostate
Glaucoma
Intolerance to the drug
Mechanical obstructors
Simultaneous use with alcohol and sedatives
