MOMESONE CREAM 25GM belongs to the class of medicine called ‘potent corticosteroid’ used to reduce inflammation, redness, irritation and itchiness caused by certain skin problems and allergic symptoms of hay fever. An allergic condition is an immune system response to a foreign substance (allergens) that is not typically harmful to your body, including certain foods, pollen, or pet dander. Many chemical messengers called histamines are released, which causes skin and other respiratory allergies with symptoms like watery eyes, itchy nose/throat/skin, redness, and inflammation. It is used to treat redness and itching caused by certain skin conditions called psoriasis or dermatitis. Psoriasis is an autoimmune disorder that results in itchy and scaly rashes on the skin. Dermatitis is a generalised term for inflammation of the skin.

MOMESONE CREAM 25GM contains ‘Mometasone furoate’ that blocks various chemical messengers (like histamine) involved in allergic and non-allergic mediated inflammation. MOMESONE CREAM 25GM reduces inflammation, itchiness, and redness by preventing infection-fighting white blood cells (WBCs) from travelling to the affected area of your body. It treats various allergy-related respiratory conditions, including allergic rhinitis (allergy symptoms with itchy/watery eyes and stuffy nose), hay fever (seasonal allergy), and allergic skin conditions psoriasis and dermatitis. It reduces the release of inflammatory mediators (chemicals that cause inflammation). When used as the topical form, it causes constriction of blood vessels decreasing the access of cells to the site of injury. This effect helps in reducing the swelling, pain, itching, and discomfort.

MOMESONE CREAM 25GM is available as a cream, lotion, ointment, and nasal spray. Take or apply MOMESONE CREAM 25GM exactly as your doctor has prescribed it. The common side effects of MOMESONE CREAM 25GM include excessive hair growth, burning, stinging, itching, loss of skin colour for topical dosage form, and nasal spray, including headaches, respiratory tract infection, sore nose, or throat. Most of these side effects of MOMESONE CREAM 25GM do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to MOMESONE CREAM 25GM or any other ingredients, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before using MOMESONE CREAM 25GM. MOMESONE CREAM 25GM topical is not recommended for children aged below two years, and MOMESONE CREAM 25GM nasal spray is not recommended for children aged below three years. Also, MOMESONE CREAM 25GM is not recommended for children for long-term use as it may affect their growth. Do not use MOMESONE CREAM 25GM nasal spray if you have recently had an operation/injury on your nose. Do not use MOMESONE CREAM 25GM topical if you have other skin conditions such as acne, genital itching, dermatitis around the mouth, warts, wounds, and other skin infections.

Nasal spray: Gently insert the bottle tip into the nostril. Close the other nostril that is not receiving the medication. Breathe in deeply through that nostril as you squeeze the bottle. Remove the bottle and sniff once or twice. Keep breathing deeply in a slow manner.Topical: Clean and dry the affected area. Then, apply a thin layer of the medicine to the affected area. Wash your hands before and after use. Use the medicine as recommended by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Do not use other creams or moisturizers at the same time. Do not apply to broken skin or open wounds. Make sure that this medicine does not get into the eyes. If the medication gets accidentally into the eyes, rinse with water thoroughly.
