Herpex 5% Cream (Acyclovir 5%)

Herpex 5% Cream 5 gm contains a class of antiviral medication, aciclovir, which is used to treat viral infections. It plays a vital role in treating cold sores (an inflamed blister in or near the mouth, caused by infection with the herpes simplex virus), genital herpes (a common sexually transmitted infection marked by genital pain and sores), and herpes zoster (a viral infection that causes a painful rash). In addition to this, it is also used to treat chickenpox. Herpex 5% Cream 5 gm does not cure herpes but does not allow the infection to spread and treat its symptoms.

Herpex 5% Cream 5 gm contains aciclovir, which is an antiviral medication. Herpex 5% Cream 5 gm prevents the multiplication of viruses in human cells by acting on its DNA results in decrease viral overload.

Herpex 5% Cream 5 gm is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to Herpex 5% Cream 5 gm. In some cases, you may experience headaches, feeling dizzy, feeling or being sick (nausea or vomiting), diarrhoea, and skin is sensitive to sunlight. Most of these side effects of Herpex 5% Cream 5 gm are temporary, do not require medical attention, and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Do not take Herpex 5% Cream 5 gm if you are allergic to Herpex 5% Cream 5 gm, aciclovir, or any of its ingredients.
