About Gledepa Met 5mg/1000mg Tablet:
Gledepa Met 5mg/1000mg tablet is a combination of two anti-diabetic medications, used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Each film coated Gledepa Met 5mg/1000 mg tablet contains Dapagliflozin Propanedion monohydrate eq. to Dapagliflozin 5 mg, Metformin Hydrochloride 1000 mg (In extended release form) and Excipients q.s.
Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, inhibits the SGLT2 co-transporter, which leads to lower reabsorption of filtered glucose into the body and decreases the renal threshold for glucose (RTG), leading to increased glucose excretion in the urine.
Metformin is a biguanide antihyperglycaemic agent which improves glucose tolerance by lowering both basal and postprandial plasma glucose. It decreases hepatic glucose production, delays intestinal glucose absorption, and improves insulin sensitivity by enhancing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization.

Gledepa Met 5mg/1000mg tablet is prescribed for the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Usage direction of Gledepa Met 5mg/1000mg Tablet:
- Gledepa Met 5mg/1000mg tablet should be taken orally.
- Gledepa Met 5mg/1000mg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
- Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
- Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
- Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.
