Fucibet Cream

Fucibet Cream is a combination of medicine used for the symptomatic relief of symptoms such as swelling, redness, pain, itching, rashes, purulent discharge from the infected site, etc. associated with eczema or dermatitis caused by bacteria. This medicine is not recommended use in patients less than 6 years of age.

Uses of Fucibet Cream

What is it prescribed for?
Eczematous dermatoses
This medicine is used for the treatment of eczema or dermatitis characterized by itchy skin, red and inflamed skin, dry and sensitive skin, dark colored patches, etc. where a bacterial infection is present or likely to occur.

When not to use?

Systemic Fungal Infection
This medicine is not recommended for use if you have a fungal infection affecting an internal organ/organs in the body due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to betamethasone, fusidic acid, or any other inactive ingredients present along with these medicines.
Primary Skin Infections
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with untreated or uncontrolled skin infections caused by fungi, bacteria, or viruses due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
Perioral dermatitis
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with perioral dermatitis due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
Rosacea
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with rosacea due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.

Pregnancy
This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before using this medicine.
Breast-feeding
This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before using this medicine.
General warnings
Allergic reactions
This medicine has the potential of causing moderate-to-severe allergic reactions in the body. Any instance indicative of allergic reactions should be reported to the doctor in the first instance. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue the therapy with this medicine and prescribe a safer alternative, based on your clinical condition. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.
Other medicines
This medicine may interact with other medicines and their interaction may cause severe adverse effects. Hence, it is advised that you report the use of all your current medicines to the doctor before beginning treatment with this medicine.
Immunization procedures
Immunization procedures involving the injection of a live and weakened pathogen should be avoided while using this medicine. Alternate means of immunization not involving a live strain of a microorganism could be considered.
Tuberculosis relapse
Use of this medicine can cause a relapse of tuberculosis in patients who have recently recovered from it. Hence, for such patients, it is advised to conduct suitable diagnostic tests before starting the treatment with this medicine.
Usage on skin
This medicine is not recommended for use on the face since an accidental contact with the eyes or near the eyes may cause irritation and other ophthalmic adverse effects.
Duration of use
Do not use this medicine for more than 2 weeks or in large volumes since this may cause serious adverse effects and the skin may become sensitive to the medicine.
Adrenal suppression
Use of this medicine can cause suppression of adrenal glands. Hence, it should be used with caution in patients suffering from disorders of the adrenal glands. Report any unusual symptoms to the doctor immediately. Close monitoring of clinical condition and/or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition.
Use in Children
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 6 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established. However, your doctor may prescribe this medicine after taking into account all the risks and benefits associated with its use.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not apply a double dose to make up for the missed one.
Overdose
An overdose of this medicine is not likely to cause severe symptoms unless it is applied for a prolonged period of time in large volumes. Swallowing this medicine may cause harm and immediate medical intervention may be required.

General Instructions

Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area as instructed by the doctor. Follow all the usage instructions mentioned on the label or the package insert. Do not apply in larger or smaller quantities than recommended. Do not cover the application area with bandages or other coverings unless specifically instructed by the doctor. Contact your doctor if symptoms do not improve or resolve after two weeks of use.
