Folvite MB Capsule (Methylcobalamin / Folic acid / Pyridoxine)

Folvite MB Capsule 15’s is a combination of medicine that belongs to the class of medicines known as ‘nutritional supplements. It is primarily used for the treatment of diabetic neuropathy. A type of nerve damage that can occur if you have diabetes. High blood sugar (glucose) can injure nerves throughout your body. Diabetic neuropathy most often damages nerves in your legs and feet.

Folvite MB Capsule 15’s contains three medicines namely Folic acid, Mecobalamin, and Pyridoxine. Mecobalamin and pyridoxine both are forms of vitamin B and helps in the reconstruction and protection of damaged nerve cells by producing a substance called myelin. Folic acid is also a form of vitamin B that helps in providing essential nutrients to the nerves. Together, Folvite MB Capsule 15’s helps in providing relief from neuropathic (damage nerve) pain.

Take Folvite MB Capsule 15’s as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Folvite MB Capsule 15’s for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical conditions. You may experience dizziness, tiredness, sleepiness, skin rash, nausea, vomiting, and uncoordinated body movements. Most of these side effects of Folvite MB Capsule 15’s do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Folvite MB Capsule 15’s for as long as your doctor has prescribed. Please do not stop taking Folvite MB Capsule 15’s without consulting your doctor.  Do not take Folvite MB Capsule 15’s if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. Folvite MB Capsule 15’s causes drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Folvite MB Capsule 15’s as it could lead to increased dizziness and sleepiness. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medicines to rule out any side effects. Folvite MB Capsule 15’s should not be taken with antacids. Folvite MB Capsule 15’s is not recommended in Leber’s disease (a rare genetic disorder). Folvite MB Capsule 15’s used with caution in GI surgeries.

Take Folvite MB Capsule 15’s with or without food. Swallow Folvite MB Capsule 15’s as a whole with a glass of water, do not chew or break the tablet. Based on your medical condition, your doctor will decide how long you need to take Folvite MB Capsule 15’s.
