Duoluton L Tablet is a combination medicine used for oral contraception (prevention of pregnancy). It may also be used for emergency contraception if levonorgestrel 0.75 mg tablets are not available in the market.

Uses of Duoluton L Tablet

What is it prescribed for?
Emergency contraception
This medicine is used for the prevention of unwanted pregnancies. The oral tablet should be taken as soon as possible after unprotected sex; it should be taken at least within 72 to 120 hours after unprotected sex. This medicine may be used only if levonorgestrel 0.75 mg is not available in the market.

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients having cancer which is attributed to abnormal levels of the hormone estrogen in the body for a prolonged duration.
Liver disease
