Dologel CT Gel 10 gm belongs to a class of drugs called analgesics and antiseptics used in the treatment of mouth ulcers and oropharynx (middle part of the throat) inflammation. Mouth ulcers, also known as canker sores are small, painful lesions that develop in the mouth or at the base of gums. These can make you uncomfortable while eating, drinking, and talking. They usually heal within a few weeks and are not contagious.

Dologel CT Gel 10 gm is a combination of three drugs, namely: Benzalkonium chloride (antibacterial agent), Choline salicylate (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) and Lignocaine hydrochloride (local anaesthetic). Benzalkonium chloride acts as an antibacterial agent and prevents secondary infections. Thus, it promotes quick healing of mouth ulcers. Choline salicylate works by blocking the action of cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzyme in the body that is involved in the production of certain chemical substances such as prostaglandins that cause pain and swelling. Thereby, it helps in relieving pain and swelling. Lignocaine hydrochloride decreases pain sensation by preventing the transmission of pain signals from nerves to the brain.

Dologel CT Gel 10 gm is for external use only. You are advised to use Dologel CT Gel 10 gm for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your condition.
