Description

Combitaz 250 Injection is a combination medicine used for the treatment of hospital-acquired infections such as nosocomial pneumonia, uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections etc. caused by susceptible strains of bacteria. This medicine is also used for the treatment of infections such as central nervous system infections, intraabdominal infections, complicated and recurrent urinary tract infections, gynecological infections, bacterial septicemia, etc.

Uses of Combitaz 250 Injection

What is it prescribed for?
Nosocomial Pneumonia or Hospital-acquired Pneumonia (HAP)
This medicine is used in the treatment of nosocomial pneumonia, a type of bacterial lung infection which the patient contracts in the hospital at least 48 to 72 hours after being admitted.
Skin and Skin Structure Infection
This medicine is used in the treatment of uncomplicated infections of the skin and skin structures caused by bacteria. These infections may include infected wounds, folliculitis, abscesses, cellulitis, ulcers, etc.
Bacterial infections
This medicine is also used for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible bacteria. These infections may include serious central nervous system infections, intraabdominal infections, complicated and recurrent urinary tract infections, gynecological infections, bacterial septicemia, etc.

When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to ceftazidime, tazobactam, any other beta-lactam antibiotics, or any other inactive ingredients present along with these medicines.
