Description

Betavert 24 MG Tablet is an antivertigo medicine used in the treatment of Meniere’s disease, which is an inner ear disorder. This medicine helps relieve the symptoms of Meniere’s disease, such as vertigo (a feeling of dizziness or spinning sensation), ringing in the ears, nausea, and hearing loss. It works by improving blood flow around the inner ear. This will reduce the build-up of pressure in the inner ear.

Betavert 24 MG Tablet may cause side effects such as headache, nausea, indigestion, and stomach pain. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it.

Betavert 24 MG Tablet should be taken with food to avoid stomach problems. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of treatment based on your clinical condition. Take it for the recommended duration, as abrupt discontinuation may lead to worsening of your symptoms. Also, avoid caffeine, dairy products, alcohol, and foods containing high sodium content, as it may trigger Meniere’s disease.

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid taking Betavert 24 MG Tablet if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling of the face/tongue/throat, breathing difficulty, etc.
Phaeochromocytoma
Phaeochromocytoma is a rare tumour of the adrenal glands (a small gland located on top of your kidney that is responsible for producing chemical substances known as hormones). It is often associated with symptoms such as high blood pressure, increased heartbeat, sweating, headache, etc. Betavert 24 MG Tablet is not recommended for use if you have phaeochromocytoma, as it may trigger the release of certain chemicals from the tumour resulting in high blood pressure.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Take the missed dose of Betavert 24 MG Tablet as soon as you remember it. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
Overdose
Never take more than the prescribed dose of Betavert 24 MG Tablet. In case of an overdose, seek immediate medical attention for further guidance.
