Anti-Thyrox 20 Tablet is an anti-thyroid medicine. It is used to treat hyperthyroidism (an overactive thyroid gland). It is also used to relieve the symptoms of hyperthyroidism before radioactive iodine treatment or thyroid surgery. This medicine works by lowering the production of thyroxine.

Anti-Thyrox  Tablet causes rapid weight loss as the most common side-effect. You may also experience other side effects like diarrhoea, joint pain, itching, skin rash, fever, headache, drowsiness, etc. These side effects may subside on their own. If they bother you for a longer time or worsen, consult your doctor. Avoid using this medicine if you are allergic to it.

Anti-Thyrox 20 Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take it at the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Take it regularly at the same time for ease of remembering and for better results. Do not discontinue using this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Anti-Thyrox  Tablet may not be suitable for all people. It is not recommended for use in children below two years of age as the safety and efficacy data for use is not available. Inform your doctor if you have a low blood count and liver problems. Also, inform about all your other health issues and ongoing medications. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking this medicine.
