Amtas-AT 25 Tablet (Amlodipine 5mg / Atenolol 25mg)

Amtas-AT 25 Tablet is a combination of Atenolol and Amlodipine. It is an anti-hypertensive medicine used for the treatment of high blood pressure. This medicine works by relaxing the blood vessels, making the blood flow easily, thus lowering blood pressure.

Amtas-AT 25 Tablet shows common side effects like swelling in your ankles or feet, headache, sleepiness, dizziness, tiredness, and upset stomach. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time.

Amtas-AT 25 Tablet can be taken with or without food. The dose will be decided by your doctor. Do not stop the treatment abruptly as it can cause unwanted side effects. Inform your doctor about all the medicines and supplements you are taking as this medicine can interact with them and can cause side effects.

Amtas-AT 25 Tablet is not used in children below 12 years of age, pregnant and breastfeeding women unless prescribed by your doctor. This medicine is not recommended if you have heart problems that cause a slow heartbeat, abnormal rhythm, or insufficient pumping of the blood as it can worsen your condition. If you have any pre-existing kidney and liver problems and other medical conditions, inform your doctor about them.

Amtas-AT 25 Tablet is used in the treatment of chronic stable angina characterized by shortness of breath, chest pain episodes, pain that spreads to other areas, etc.
