VELTRIDE TABLET belongs to a class of drugs known as 5-alpha reductase inhibitors primarily used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (overgrowth of the prostate gland, a gland situated between the bladder and penis). Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a common illness as men get older. An inflamed prostate gland can cause unpleasant urinary symptoms, like preventing the urine flow out of the bladder. It can also cause urinary tract, bladder, or kidney problems.

VELTRIDE TABLET is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor. It blocks an enzyme that is needed to change testosterone (male hormone) to another hormone that causes the growth of the prostate (a walnut-sized gland located between the bladder and the penis). As a result, it helps to shrink the prostate (a walnut-sized gland located between the bladder and the penis) and reduce the symptoms like problems in passing urine.

Take VELTRIDE TABLET as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take VELTRIDE TABLET for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical conditions. You may experience low sexual desire, allergic reaction, and impotence (inability to get and keep an erection firm sufficient for sex.). Most of these side effects of VELTRIDE TABLET do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Before starting VELTRIDE TABLET, please inform your doctor if you have any allergy to any part of VELTRIDE TABLET. If you have severe liver disease, then inform your doctor while taking VELTRIDE TABLET. This VELTRIDE TABLET is used for men only. Do not use it for women because VELTRIDE TABLET is not approved for women. If you are a woman using VELTRIDE TABLET, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, plan on getting pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
