Golbi 450 MG Tablet SR is a medicine used to dissolve gallstones that are composed mainly of undissolved cholesterol and also prevent gallstones in overweight people who are planning on losing weight rapidly.

Golbi 450 MG Tablet SR is also used in the treatment of primary biliary cirrhosis. It is a condition that impairs the liver’s ability to function properly and causes a build-up of a fluid called bile within the liver. It may gradually worsen over time. This medicine works by decreasing the toxic levels of bile acid that may accumulate in such a condition.

Primary biliary cirrhosis
Primary biliary cirrhosis is a liver condition that causes a buildup of bile (a fluid formed by the liver that helps in digestion) within the liver, resulting in damage to the small bile ducts that drain bile from the liver. It may gradually worsen over time. Golbi 450 MG Tablet SR is used in the treatment of primary biliary cirrhosis.

When not to use?

Allergic reaction
Golbi 450 MG Tablet SR is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Seek medical attention if you experience symptoms such as skin rash, hives (painful eruptions that itch and sting), itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), breathing difficulty, etc.
Biliary tract disorder

Gallbladder disorder
Golbi 450 MG Tablet SR is not recommended for use if you have a non-functional gallbladder or conditions like swelling or impaired contractility of the gallbladder.
Presence of calcified gallstone
Golbi 450 MG Tablet SR is not recommended for use if you have gallstones formed due to the deposition of calcium. This medicine may not be effective in such a condition.
Chronic liver disease
