Flutibact Skin Ointment is a combination of Fluticasone Propionate and Mupirocin. It is used in the treatment of skin infections. It reduces the symptoms of infection such as swelling, redness, and itching. It also prevents the growth of bacteria that causes infection.

Flutibact Skin Ointment shows side effects like burning sensation, itching, redness, and dryness of your skin. These side effects will subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if they bother you for a long time or become severe.

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid using Flutibact Skin Ointment if your allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have a history of allergy to this medication. If you notice any symptoms such as excess skin rash, itching, hives (itchy, painful eruptions that sting) inform your doctor and seek immediate medical attention.
Acne
Acne is a skin condition in which bacteria grow in the clogged pores on your skin causing blackheads, whiteheads, or pimples. Flutibact Skin Ointment is not recommended for use in acne.
Fungal infection of skin
Avoid using Flutibact Skin Ointment for fungal infection of hair, nail and toe. It may worsen your skin condition.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Apply the missed dose of Flutibact Skin Ointment as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
Overdose
An overdose of Flutibact Skin Ointment is unlikely to cause severe symptoms unless it is applied for a prolonged period of time in large volumes. However, ingestion of this medicine may cause harm and immediate medical intervention may be required.

General Instructions

Apply a thin layer of Flutibact Skin Ointment to your affected area as instructed by your doctor.

Follow all the usage instructions mentioned on the label or the package insert. Do not apply in larger or smaller quantities than recommended.

Do not cover the application area with bandages or other coverings unless specifically instructed by your doctor.

Contact your doctor if the symptoms do not improve or resolve after 10 days of use.
